Why do I need to give so many measurements?
The app uses your measurements to create a block that’s shaped just for you — for example, it calculates your personal shoulder slope. More measurements = a block that fits your body more precisely.
Can I come back and edit my measurements later?
Yes! You can save your measurements as a profile and update them anytime. That way, you won’t have to start from scratch every time you use the app.
Can I choose how close-fitting my pattern will be?
Yes. You’ll be able to pick how snug or relaxed you want your pattern to feel, and you can even download more than one version for different types of garments.
Do I have to save my measurements?
No — you can use the app without saving. But saving your profile makes life easier: your measurements are ready to go whenever you come back, and you can reuse them across all PatternWorks apps.
Can I apply different styles to my pattern?
Yes. Styles let you modify a base pattern with design variations such as neckline changes, sleeve options, or length adjustments. Styles are applied on top of the base pattern and do not change your core measurements.
